Onerahtókha

Onerahtókha is the Kanyen’keha word for April.

Hello. It is April. A month of two birthdays in our home (that were well and joyfully celebrated).

As ever, I hope you are all well, things being how they are in the world. I have started this blog on April 8, though it remains to be seen if it will indeed be posted before April 30 (UPDATE: it was absolutely not posted before the 30). At present, I am getting ready for a very special visit to the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board (which was incredible, and I continue to be thankful for the opportunity to visit with educators and literacy leaders and share about reading, writing, art, language and book making).

However, all of my exciting news and updates will have to wait until next month, because, at long lost, I am approaching the final tests of my language immersion program and they are commanding my full attention this month. This language program has been such a special time in my life, and I hope to tell you much more about it—especially given how quiet I’ve been in the social media space over the past two years. But for now, I’ll leave you with this picture of the coming Spring and a promise of a blog to come.

Stay well everyone. In peace & friendship,

Sara.
